Hunter

Adopted

Meet Hunter! Bit reserved at first but very affectionate and curious once he gets to know you. Overall, Hunter is a great dog who has potential to be an awesome dog with enough attention, confidence building and patience. He is a loving, gentle and respectful boy.

Hunter is a young, playful and energetic collie so another playful doggie friend and fenced yard would be desirable. He is very respectful of the resident cats but we are not sure how he is around children.
Hunter’s foster mom reports that he likes his crate and it is his refuge; he often sleeps in it on his back with his legs spread apart.

Hunter has done very well with his house training but he needs to be supervised when left unattended as he will find things to chew on. In fact he will gather up all available toys and brings them to his crate. He also likes to rip them apart.

Sweet Hunter doesn’t seem to have any formal leash training and doesn’t know any commands and that’s something his forever family would need to work on. On his walks, he’s nervous of loud noises and car traffic. He’s quite fearful of bad weather but not destructive; he’ll just stay in his crate.

A calm household with a patient and understanding family would be best for Hunter. Could you be the one?
