Rocky is an almost 5-month-old Collie Great Pyrenees mix. As with most puppies, he is full of energy! He came to CRGI due to nipping and herding young children. He would do best in a home with no children.

This young pup has proven to be a smart guy.  He will sit on command when getting treats and getting fed. He seems to know his name and usually comes when called. Potty training hasn't been an issue for Rocky, he goes to the door and barks to go out and is also learning to ring a bell when he wants to go outside. He can be bit stubborn at times but is treat-motivated and learning new things quickly; he would do great with some training classes.

At night, he sleeps in a kennel, and he will probably need it while he gets through his puppy phase.  Rocky gets along well with other dogs, although he can be pushy, so it may be best to have a dog who can tell him no. He loves to be outside and enjoys checking out his yard; a fence is preferable.

Rocky is still in the mouthy puppy stage, and when he is happy or excited, his first instinct is to jump and bite. He is getting better about off and sitting to greet people. Rocky's forever home will need to be committed to ensuring that he receives the proper guidance needed to help him become a happy, well-behaved adult. Due to Rocky's history of herding and nipping an experienced dog owner would best meet Rocky's needs. Could you be the one?
