Meet Jake! An eight-month-old happy and playful boy, his foster mom says he’s a sweet and affectionate pup! This boy will put his front feet on your lap and ask for hugs and pets. He’ll also shower you with kisses! What more could you ask for?

Jake loves walks with his humans and canine foster buddies. Not having much leash walking experience, he will need some guidance in that area. Jake enjoys sniffing everything around him and keeps the leash taut, but he doesn’t pull too hard. He is young, playful, and energetic. He likes to run around, so we would want his forever family to have a fenced yard and another playful dog for him to run and goof around with. While he is active in the yard, he will also happily nap while his foster parents watch TV.

No motion sickness for this guy. Jake is a great traveler, but if allowed, he will try to climb in the front seat to sit with you. Once directed to his spot in the car, he will lie down and sleep.

As most young dogs, he still needs supervision and appropriate things to chew on. His foster home started crate training to keep him safe while they are gone for short periods of time. After arriving at CRGI, he had a few accidents in the house, but his foster mom started working on potty training and he’s catching on quickly.

Jake’s foster home did not have the opportunity to expose him to children. He probably would be fine with older children, but because he is energetic and excitable, he might accidentally knock little ones down.

Sweet Jake is looking for a forever family that will be patient, willing to keep him engaged, and willing to continue teaching him new things. In return, Jake will lavish you with kisses and keep you smiling with his loving, happy personality!
