Who’s that cute, shy boy in the corner quietly waiting for an invitation to the dance floor?

Why, it’s Sebastian, a good boy who slowly but surely is learning that the sad, neglected life he once had is behind him now.

He’s already learned about housebreaking, and he’s trustworthy in the house for extended periods, even though he still likes the security of his crate. Mostly he’s preferred to stay in one room, even though he’s had access to his entire foster home.

Actually, he’s been more of an outdoor guy and has loved the freedom of his yard and being off leash (a tool he still has to master). He’s loved playing with his doggie friends big and small and running and jumping in the yard, so a fenced yard is best for him.

As carefree as he is outside, Sebastian is still learning how to adjust to life indoors, and that people can be fun too. He’s learned to take treats from his foster mom - though he can be a picky eater when it comes to regular mealtime. He’s let his foster mom even trim his nails.

He is not fond of loud, strange noises and he’s not sure about strangers yet. But he’s learned to go up and down stairs and he delights his foster mom when he’s wagged his tail, a happy sign considering his first days when he had to overcome so much, including an eye infection, part of the woes of his neglected past life.

His foster mom says Sebastian is a sweet if not shy boy who just needs time and patience to become the collie he can be. Sebastian is a good boy who deserves the chance to show a patient person or family the happy companion he can be.

Could you ask him yo be your dance partner?
