Playful, sweet and affectionate! That’s how Bree’s foster mom describes this young girl.

At one year of age, Bree likes to roughhouse and run around with the resident collie. Being young, she needs to learn proper play manners, and the resident dog is helping with that. She readily takes its corrections when her play becomes too rough. Bree is an exuberant dog, and her joie de vivre can get the better of her. While she’s having fun running around, she will run up and jump on her foster mom with excitement. For this reason, a household without smaller children would fit her best. With her big puppy enthusiasm, she could easily knock youngsters down like bowling pins. 

Bree is a smart girl. She mastered a treat puzzle pretty quickly. She's doing great with the sit and down command, and her foster mom is now working on the stay and place. She is house trained and doing much better with proper leash walking. Bree is a willful girl who can be a bit stubborn at times. Luckily, she loves treats and is food motivated, which makes training easier. Bree is used to being in her crate when her foster mom isn’t watching her. She also sleeps in her crate and does well all night.

Bree is friendly and was receptive to visitors at her foster home. She is affectionate and likes the attention. She will often put her paw up on her foster mom’s leg and lick while being petted. Her foster mom says that Bree’s face is so cute and endearing that it's hard not to laugh at her puppy shenanigans even when she’s misbehaving. 

Bree missed out on some socialization the first part of her life and is a little afraid of certain loud sounds like the evil garbage or delivery truck. She’s not too crazy about the vacuum cleaner either, and she barks when her foster mom runs the kitchen mixer. With time and a positive approach, she will get used to the scary noises. For her safety, a secure fenced yard and a quiet suburban life would suit her best.
