Meet Rosie!

Rosie came to us as a diamond in the rough but has cleaned up beautifully.  Her foster mom reports that she is a good girl who likes to play with all kinds of toys and enjoys a quick game of fetch before plopping down and taking a rest.

When it comes to everyday activities, Rosie does great; stairs aren’t a problem, she can get in and out of a car, and she rides nicely when inside.  When Rosie arrived, she was matted and full of burrs, but she was good with all of the brushing, shaving, and tugging that was required to clean her up.  In general, Rosie is a quiet girl and has hardly barked while with her foster family.  When meeting strangers, she greets them slowly with a wagging tail.

Rosie is crated at night and when unsupervised and will go into her crate willingly.  When not in her crate, she likes to nap on a big pet bed, but also doesn’t mind a hard surface.  When she gets excited, she will nip and nibble, and she has also shown some herding tendencies.  Fortunately, she does know some commands like ‘come’ and ‘sit’ and she responds well when told no, but she will need some help to continue learning more.

Rosie would fit in with just about any type of family, but her foster mom thinks that with her nips and nibbles, a home without small children might be best.  Does Rosie sound like a good fit for your family?
