Meet Scout, a happy 6-month-old puppy.

Scout is a social, friendly, playful, rambunctious boy. At this age, he’s a bit independent, but he still likes his people to be nearby, and he loves the occasional cuddle, butt rub, and ear scratch.

Scout is very good on the leash. He is hilarious, though; he likes to put the leash in his mouth and walk himself. He is distracted by loud noises and other animals and will need some work in that area. He knows the sit command but doesn’t know others yet. He is extremely food/treat motivated so training should be relatively easy. Car rides aren’t his favorite activity, but with time and positive reinforcement we are sure he will learn they are not a big deal.

Scout is good with the resident dogs but is a little too much for the older one. He likes flexing his puppy muscles and acting bossy at times and needs to be reminded he's not in charge. He isn't a fan of cats or squirrels; when he sees them outside he barks and runs after them.

Scout is a runner and has a tendency to dart out the door, so his family will need to work with him on that. To keep him safe and to allow him the freedom to get out some of his energy, his forever family must have a fenced yard.

They call it puppy love for a reason. You will quickly fall in love with this delightful, bouncy boy. If you have the energy to keep up with him, complete the application for Scout.
