Meet lovely Luna, part of the Harry Potter group of smooth collies. Luna is a very gentle girl. She is bit timid at first and can be shy, but once she has a chance to warm up to her people, she is very sweet. She goes into her crate willingly when it’s meal or treat time, and she will sleep there or anywhere that she’s allowed. She has learned to play with toys and she has favorites. Luna walks well on a leash, but she is easily frightened by sudden movements, loud noises, and strangers so it will be important to provide her with confidence building activities and gentle introductions to new people and things. Once she is comfortable with you, Luna loves to be loved!

Luna gets along well with her foster family’s collies. She has not exhibited any herding behavior and is a quiet little girl who rarely barks. She is fine with teenagers and adults, and her foster mom believes that with time, patience, and training, Luna could be a great family dog, too. She would also be equally happy to be a one-person dog since she likes a quiet life. She has been happy to sleep in her foster dad’s office all day while he is working. Luna would benefit from basic obedience training using positive reinforcement and a soft approach. Because Luna is easily frightened by noises and would be a flight risk, a home with a fenced-in yard is highly desirable.
