Looking for the perfect dog? Well, there’s no such thing, but two-year-old Cilian might just be perfect for you!

Cilian was cautious, quiet, and confused when he first arrived, but he quickly came out of his shell upon meeting another dog. He has a knack for figuring out other dogs’ play styles and gets along great with all of the resident collies. He comes alive when playing and even lets out a muffled, deep bark. Generally, he’s not noisy, but when he’s excited he might emit a delightful howl.

Cilian is a bit cautious when meeting strangers, but once he’s comfortable with his people, he likes to stay nearby and follow them around. He enjoys human interaction and loves to snuggle. He’s not a fan of being crated, but it’s not necessary anyway. Cilian is fine being left alone when his foster family runs errands.

He is a polite boy who minds his manners. He knows sit, shake, stay, drop it, and come. He actually sits and shakes before meals! Cilian walks great on a leash and will stay by your side. He loves going for long walks. When startled, he recovers fairly quickly and becomes curious enough to investigate. Storms don’t bother him, but he’s not fond of fireworks.

This sweet boy is looking for a forever home where his human is home most of the day and isn’t gone for long periods of time. He would do well with another confident, happy, playful dog close to his age. Cilian would be fine with a calm child who knows how to respect a dog’s space.

He is a smart, friendly, gentle dog with a lot of personality. If you love long walks and snuggles, you might just be perfect for Cilian!
