Sophie is a smart, affectionate 3-year-old blue merle Rough Collie who loves being near her people and becoming a true couch buddy. She’s fully house trained, friendly with other dogs, good with cats, and has a confident, social personality. If you’re looking for a sweet companion with manners and a gentle heart, Sophie may be your girl.

Sophie already knows sit, shake, lay down, stay, wait, come, and leave it, and she enjoys showing off her skills. She has a low-energy style, settles nicely, and is content whether she’s hanging out at home or snuggling with other dogs. She does not like being crated but that’s OK, she is non-destructive and leaving her in the house unattended is no problem. She is good with the resident dogs but not afraid to let them know to back off when she’s had enough. She is fine with cats, neighbor’s chickens, and curious when meeting new people. She would be best with a family without young kids or calm and respectful kids over 12 years of age.
