Meet Sadie
Sadie is a sweet and gentle almost 3-year-old Rough Collie. She is doing very well in her foster home and is quickly learning the comforts of a new environment. She has discovered the couch and happily makes herself comfortable there, often curling up next to her foster mom or relaxing alongside the resident collies. Sadie is a little cautious when meeting new people at first, but she warms up showing her gentle and affectionate disposition.
She is fully housebroken and has great indoor manners. Sadie goes into her crate on her own and sleeps quietly through the night. She walks nicely on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and is relaxed with routine handling, including vet visits and grooming. She already knows several basic commands, including sit, wait, free, and off, and is continuing to work on down and stay. She is a gentle and endearing girl who is settling in well and enjoying every bit of stability and affection she receives.
Sadie is a very friendly, respectful dog who tends to be submissive around other dogs. She has recently started discovering the fun of toys and is beginning to play with them more. She enjoys following the resident collies and tries to engage them in play. While she has not been tested with cats, her gentle and sweet nature suggests she would likely do well with feline companions. Sadie is uncertain around small children, as their energy tends to make her nervous, but she has done very well with calm teenagers and adults.
Sadie would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard (required) and a family willing to give her the time to settle in and feel comfortable. She would be happiest with people who appreciate a sweet, moderate-energy dog and understand that she may be a little shy at first. With patience, love, and time to build confidence, Sadie’s wonderful personality will truly shine.
Sadie is looking for a family of her own. Could you be the one? She’s waiting for someone to show her that she’s finally home — a place where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. In return, Sadie will fill your days with constant companionship, gentle affection, and a heart full of unconditional love.
