Hello handsome!

Charlie will captivate you with his big brown eyes and his friendly, playful, affectionate personality. He is a sweet, talkative five-year-old boy who is good with people, kids, other dogs, and cats.

Charlie came to CRGI carrying a bit more weight than he should. Through a regimen of walking (2.5 to 3 miles a day) and proper diet, he has lost 10 pounds while in foster care. He is currently just above 120 pounds. Charlie sometimes forgets how big he is, and his play can be overwhelming. For this reason, older kids would be a better fit for him. 

Charlie is well mannered around food. He walks well on a leash and lets you know when he needs to go out. He’s a great companion. He loves to go for car rides and will wait by the door when he hears the keys jingle. A fenced in yard is a necessity for Charlie, preferably one well stocked with bunnies and squirrels for him to chase. He needs to keep up with his exercise and diet routine in order to get down to and maintain a healthy weight. This will give you the perfect reason to get up, get out, and enjoy a hike with your best buddy.
